Activities at Falkensteiner Camping Grubhof

Grubhof sits between the mountains, right on the Saalach River

From here, you don’t really need to plan much. You just head out. A walk through the valley, a hike into the mountains, a bike ride along the river, or just some time by the water.

In winter, it’s skiing, cross-country trails, or quiet walks through the snow.

And if you’re not sure where to go, just ask. We’re always happy to share a few local tips.

Activities at Grubhof

Summer here is easy. You step outside and you’re already in it.

You can go for a walk, head out for a longer hike, or take the bike and follow the river through the valley. If it gets warm, the Saalach is never far, and there’s always a place to cool off or just sit by the water for a while.

There are cable cars if you want to go higher without much effort, swimming spots along the way, and plenty of small places where you end up stopping longer than planned.

Everything is close, and it all fits naturally into your day.

The Salzburger Saalachtal Card

The Saalachtal Card is included for stays in rooms and alpine huts from May 1 to October 31. For cabins, campsites, and camper pitches, it’s included from July 1 to August 31.

It gives you access to many things in the region without needing to think too much about it. Cable cars, gorges, swimming pools, and more are included, along with public transport across the area.

So instead of planning everything in advance, you can just decide as you go.

BY THE WATER

The Saalach is at the centre of most summer activities here. You can go rafting, kayaking or canoeing if you feel like something more active.
Or you keep it simple, find a quieter spot along the river, go for a swim, or just sit by the water for a while.

With over 400 km of routes, you can decide each day how far you want to go.
