A quiet place, closer than you think

Hafnersee sits in the Keutschach Valley, surrounded by lakes, forests and gentle hills.

It feels calm and a little hidden, yet Klagenfurt is only about 15 minutes away. So you have the space and quiet of a lakeside setting, without being far from the city.

What makes it even more special is the direct connection to the lake. The campsite is essentially the main access point to Hafnersee. That means more space, more calm, and a lakeside experience that feels more private and uninterrupted.

Your place to stay

The heart of the stay

The former hotel building is being transformed into the central hub of the campsite.

This is where arrival becomes easy and the day naturally begins, with reception, a coffee shop, a small supermarket, bike rental and indoor spaces for play and quiet time.

Everything is designed to support a relaxed rhythm, so you can move naturally between the lake, your accommodation and shared spaces without needing to think too much about it.

For young and young at heart explorers

Hafnersee is designed as a place where family holidays feel light and easy.

Indoor play areas and edutainment spaces offer quieter moments, while outside, the pool area with baby pool, spray park, water slide, along with open spaces and sports areas, give kids room to move and explore.

The calm lakeside setting adds something special, with safe, open spaces and direct access to the water where children can spend hours outdoors.

Water is at the heart of Hafnersee.

The campsite sits directly at the lake and is one of the main access points, with only one small public beach nearby. This creates a setting that feels more open, quieter and less crowded than most lake destinations.

From here, you can step straight onto piers, stretch out on the lawns, or spend the day in and around the water, swimming, paddling or simply doing very little at all.

Alongside the lake, the new pool area adds a multi-purpose pool, a baby pool and a spray park, offering a balance between activity and relaxation.

Relaxation by the water

At Hafnersee, wellness is planned as a quieter part of the stay.

A separate sauna and relaxation building by the lake creates space to slow down after a day outside. With warmth, calm and views over the water, it adds another layer to the lakeside experience without taking away from its simplicity.

It’s the kind of place you end up going to when you want a slower moment, a bit of quiet, or simply more time to take in the setting around you.

Food by the lake

At Hafnersee, everything around food is designed to feel easy and natural.

With the CAMPO° Seerestaurant, the CAMPO° daily coffee spot and the CAMPO° supermarket with local specialties, the day moves from morning coffee to relaxed lunches and easy dinners by the water.

Set right by the lake, it’s a place where you can sit down, look out over the water, and let the day unfold without rushing anywhere.

Move or slow down

Some days are for swimming, paddling or cycling through the surrounding landscape.

Others are for yoga, quiet walks, or simply staying by the lake.

With bike and SUP rental, outdoor fitness areas and nearby nature to explore, you can keep things active or take it slow, depending on how the day feels.

The setting makes both easy, without crowds or long distances.

Comfort that makes the difference

  • New spacious sanitary building with showers and laundry
  • 23 private bathrooms
  • Organised arrival and parking areas
  • Low-traffic concept close to the lake
