Activities at Falkensteiner Camping Wörthersee

About the region
Lake Wörthersee sits between the mountains and the city. The water is warm in summer, and most things are close by.
You arrive, settle in, and head out for a walk along the Lendkanal, a bike ride by the lake, or some time on the water. Maybe you go into Klagenfurt for a bit, maybe you stay by the lake a little longer.
And if you’re not sure where to go, just ask. We’re always happy to share a few local tips.

Activities at Falkensteiner Camping Wörthersee in Klagenfurt
Most things start right outside the campsite.
You’re by the lake, close to the city centre, and surrounded by places that are easy to reach without much planning. Some days are about being active, others are just about staying close and enjoying the moment.

BY THE WATER
The Strandbad Klagenfurt is just a short walk away opposite the campsite, with plenty of space and everything set up if you want to stay for a few hours or the whole day.
If you prefer something quieter, the Maiernigg lido is smaller and more local, easy to reach by bike and usually a bit more relaxed.
If you feel like moving, you can rent a SUP, kayak, or a small boat and spend some time out on the lake.

WALKING & HIKING
Around Klagenfurt, there are easy walking and hiking routes like the Kreuzbergl or along the Lendkanal.
If you want a bit more, you can head towards the Pyramidenkogel or explore nearby lakes like Keutschacher See or Rauschelesee.

CYCLING
Start directly from the campsite and follow routes along the lake or through the city.
The Wörthersee loop is the classic option, but you can also just ride smaller sections. The Lendkanal is especially good for shorter, easy rides.
If you didn’t bring your own bike, just ask at reception.

KLAGENFURT
