Everything is close, and it’s easy to decide as you go.

Discover the region
Falkensteiner Camping Zadar is more than just the coastline.
From here, you can explore nearby islands, national parks, and small coastal towns. Places like Kornati National Park, Krka waterfalls, or the islands of Ugljan and Pašman are all within reach.
Whether you go out for a day or just a few hours, there’s always something different to discover.

BY THE SEA
The sea is right next to the campsite, so most days start there naturally. You can swim, spend time on the beach, or stay close to the water without needing to plan much.
If you feel like being more active, the coast around Zadar also works well for paddleboarding, kayaking, and other water-based activities. It’s the kind of setting where you can keep things simple or stay moving for longer, depending on the day.

ZADAR OLD TOWN
Zadar’s old town is one of those places that easily fits into your day. You can walk along the waterfront, stop for a coffee, and spend a few hours moving through the smaller streets and squares.
Two of the best-known stops are the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun, both right on the waterfront and closely connected to the atmosphere of the city, especially later in the day. The old town is also a good place for dinner, a slower evening, or simply a different rhythm after time at the campsite.

ISLANDS & BOAT TRIPS
From Zadar, it’s easy to head out onto the water and see more of the coastline. Boat trips and excursions open up a different side of the region, whether that means smaller islands, quiet bays, or a full day out at sea.
The Zadar archipelago is especially known for its many coves and beaches, and the Kornati islands are one of the best-known day-trip destinations in the area. Some days are made for staying close, and others are better spent out on the water.

ACTIVE HOLIDAYS ON LAND
Zadar isn’t only about the sea. The region also works well for cycling, walking, and more active days outdoors. The tourist board highlights active holidays across the surrounding coastline and hinterland, and Falkensteiner also positions the area around Zadar as a place for sport, entertainment, and excursions for all ages.
Whether it’s a coastal ride, a walk, or mixing movement with slower moments by the sea, it’s easy to keep things flexible and decide as you go.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
For families, there’s already a lot happening right on site. Falky programmes, evening entertainment, live music, mini-disco, shows, a PS5 games corner, and activities for children from age 3 upwards all make it easy for kids to find their rhythm. The family offering also includes a children’s pool with a slide and free swimming lessons for children aged 4+ during part of the summer programme.
If you want to go out for a while, the wider Zadar region is also very family-friendly, with options ranging from easy outings and beaches to donkey farms, theme parks, and other activity-based day trips.

NATIONAL PARKS & DAY TRIPS
Zadar works well as a base if you want to explore further. The region gives you access to several of Croatia’s best-known natural landscapes, including Kornati National Park, Krka waterfalls, Paklenica, Plitvice Lakes, and Northern Velebit.
